2 sides to a coin

One man's death
Is another man's glory
One man's demise
Is another man's story
History is written by the victor
Not by the loser
So keep your friends close
And your enemies closer

The Unlikely Poet

we are one under the heavens

If only the world
Was colour blind
If we could just see past
The colouring of skin
And looked at the person within
We would surely find
That we are no different
From each other
We are all somebody's sister
Or somebody's brother
Somebody's father
Or somebody's mother
If we could just see past
The black and white
Come together and unite
We would surely see
That we all have the same struggles
And we all fight the same fight
I wish that we could
Remove discrimination
And come together
As one proud nation
A mass rainbow of colours
In one glorious celebration

The Unlikely Poet

like the phoenix

Today feels like a good day
I have packed up my troubles
And am throwing them away
I have shed too many tears
Wasted too many years
But I am now ready again
To face all of my fears
I was to busy thinking about
What could go wrong
When I should have been thinking
About what could go right
My life had become
One continuos long night
But now I have stepped
Out of the shadows
And into the light
My troubles are all behind me
And I feel ready again
To continue the fight

The Unlikely Poet

A new world

Everybody please pay attention
I give you the door
To a new dimension
Open to all free thinkers
With a higher perception
Leave your pride outside
If you have nothing to hide
Welcome to one and all
Come please step inside
We are off on a journey
To the centre of your mind
A world of dreams
And imagination
Where nothing is impossible
And the blind
Lead the blind

The Unlikely Poet

leave me alone

I am going to lock myself up
Quite literally
So nobody else
Can have a peice of me
Some people act so selfishly
I am so sick of being
Let down by everybody
They all want a peice of me
But offer nothing in return
It is a horribly repeated pattern
Maybe it is time to learn
That most people
Are only out for themselves
So I cannot them get to close
They only mess with my heart
And my fragile mental health

the unlikely poet

muffled scream

God if I don't scream out loud
I may just burst from inside
There is only so many times
That I can swallow my pride
There are only so many times
That I can get kicked around
So many times that I
Can climb back of the ground
Everybody is driving me insane
They are worms burrowing holes
In my tortured screaming brain

The Unlikely Poet

My Valentine

You are always in my thoughts
And never off my mind
A love like yours
Is so hard to find
How could I have been so blind
Why did I not see
That all the time that
I was on my own
You were standing there
Right in front of me

From the funny things you say
To the little things you do
I will gladly give
My heart to you
As I know that
You are honest and true
The praise you deserve is
Long overdue
There is not a single thing
I would change about you

When I am with you
I feel anything is achievable
Us meeting was not accidental
I belive that you were meant for me Some sort of Guardian Angel
You make me feel alive again
You make me feel so special
