If only the world
Was colour blind
If we could just see past
The colouring of skin
And looked at the person within
We would surely find
That we are no different
From each other
We are all somebody's sister
Or somebody's brother
Somebody's father
Or somebody's mother
If we could just see past
The black and white
Come together and unite
We would surely see
That we all have the same struggles
And we all fight the same fight
I wish that we could
Remove discrimination
And come together
As one proud nation
A mass rainbow of colours
In one glorious celebration
The Unlikely Poet
Was colour blind
If we could just see past
The colouring of skin
And looked at the person within
We would surely find
That we are no different
From each other
We are all somebody's sister
Or somebody's brother
Somebody's father
Or somebody's mother
If we could just see past
The black and white
Come together and unite
We would surely see
That we all have the same struggles
And we all fight the same fight
I wish that we could
Remove discrimination
And come together
As one proud nation
A mass rainbow of colours
In one glorious celebration
The Unlikely Poet
