With domestic abuse
Are you made to feel
That you are no use
Do you live with somebody controlling
Are you being forced to explain
Your every feeling
Do any of you live
Under strict obedience
Masked behind the threat of violence
Do you live
With a tyrant or a bully
Who's every decision
Comes from jealousy and insecurity
Well I did
And I know those feelings
Only too well
I once lived like that
My whole life was Hell
But I escaped
And lived to tell the story
With all of the blood
And all of the gory
I got out when I could
And if you see an opening
Then you should do the same
Because you are nobody's punchbag
And you should not accept the blame
We all make mistakes
So rid yourself of the shame
Some way you will find away to cope
You may feel like you are lost
And all alone
But I am a story of hope
